About the role
We are looking for a creative and experienced Spatial UX/UI Designer to join our team and work on immersive, interactive, and technology-driven experiences.
The role will focus on designing user experiences and visual interfaces for XR applications, holographic displays, interactive installations, and spatial environments. You will work closely with technical and creative teams to develop concepts, user journeys, prototypes, and final design assets for immersive projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UX/UI design process for XR and immersive experiences, from user flows and wireframes through to final visual designs.
- Design intuitive interaction systems for hand tracking, gaze-based interaction, touch interfaces, and other spatial interactions.
- Develop visual design systems for XR interfaces, holographic content, and interactive environments, including typography, iconography, animation, and motion elements.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and functionality.
- Develop prototypes in Unity using UI Toolkit or UGUI to demonstrate interactions and user experiences.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve the overall user experience.
- Prepare motion and visual assets for holographic and large-format display systems using After Effects and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Ensure design assets meet the technical and delivery requirements of different display formats and installation environments.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and other internal teams to ensure the final implementation aligns with the approved design.
- Participate in client presentations, design discussions, and project reviews when required.
- Translate project briefs and creative requirements into clear and practical UX/UI solutions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, with at least 2 years of experience working on XR, spatial, immersive, or interactive projects.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience beyond traditional screen-based UX/UI design.
- Strong understanding of spatial design, user interaction, depth, scale, ergonomics, and environmental context.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
- Hands-on experience designing for XR platforms such as Meta Quest or similar devices.
- Experience creating motion graphics and visual content using Adobe After Effects, including alpha-channel content where required.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud for creating and preparing design assets.
- Ability to use emerging AI tools to support creative workflows, concept development, mockups, and rapid prototyping.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for holographic display technologies, including fan displays, holoboxes, transparent LCDs, or similar systems.
- Experience creating interactive prototypes in Unity, including UI Toolkit, UGUI, or Shader Graph.
- Knowledge of Blender or other 3D software for spatial mockups and environment visualisation.
- Experience designing for Arabic or bilingual UAE audiences.
- Experience with large-scale installations, exhibitions, wayfinding systems, ambient interfaces, or multi-user interactive experiences.
- Previous experience working in a creative studio, experiential agency, events, exhibitions, or immersive technology environment.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
