About the role
Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Science or Abacus–Mental Math Teacher who can teach concepts in a simple, interactive, and enjoyable way. The focus is on building concept clarity, logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence through hands-on activities and structured practice sessions using a child-friendly approach that supports young learners from multicultural environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver hands-on science lessons for different age groups
- Conduct experiments, activities, and group projects
- Teach structured Abacus & Mental Math techniques to improve speed, accuracy, and concentration.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the STEAM curriculum
- Create an interactive, supportive, motivating and inquiry-based learning environment
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents.
- Adapt teaching style to suit different learning abilities and cultural backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Art, Education, Psychology, Science or related fields.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and clear manner
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Passion for working with children and teenagers.
- Patient, energetic, and creative teaching style.
- Prior teaching experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Experience with project-based learning and curriculum development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills
