Hours: Monday-Friday from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Summer Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 5:30 -- 2 Separate Shifts

Pay Rate: $12.00-$15.00/hour depending on experience

The Youth Development Professional plays a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of children and adolescents. This position involves creating a safe and engaging environment where youth can thrive, learn, and develop essential life skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and possess the skills necessary to support their educational and personal growth.

Minimum age requirement is 18 year old

5 days a week preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging programs that promote social, emotional, and physical development for youth.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Provide guidance and support to children in various activities, including tutoring, sports, and creative arts.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenges and encourage positive behavior among participants.
• Foster relationships with students to understand their individual needs and interests.
• Participate in training sessions related to education and childhood development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth & knowledge of youth development programs
• Ability to be on your feet, active and engaged with youth
• Ability to motivate youth, and manage behavior problems in a positive manner
• Ability to organize and supervise youth in a safe environment

Good communication skills

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
