Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 5+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract at an 81-bed facility in Rockport, ME, serving adult, pediatric, and newborn patient populations.

- Respiratory Therapy department at an 81-bed acute care facility in Rockport, ME
- Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and newborn (birthing center) patients
- Equipment includes Fisher & Paykel Airvo 2 nasal oxygen high flow system, Respironics V60, Drager Evita Infinity V500, Getinge Servo-s, and Hamilton T1 ventilators
- EMR: Epic
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week; 24 hours every other weekend
- Floating to a sister facility within a 25-mile radius as needed
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- RRT or CRT credential required
- Minimum 5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP (non-AHA certifications accepted but AHA must be completed before start date)
- Minimum 2 years of experience required per facility guidelines
- Ability to work independently as needed
- License required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; open-toe shoes and hats are not permitted
- AirPods, laptops, and personal cell phone use are prohibited on the unit
- Holiday coverage is required as needed
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate; local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this upon consideration
- Requested time off (RTO) should be kept to a minimum; a reasonable amount is 3–4 days for a 13-week contract, subject to manager discretion
