About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Technical Product Analyst (Data & Agile Lead) to support a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative with a Fortune 100 financial services client (Freddie Mac related).
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology. You will partner with Product Owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to analyze complex business and data problems, define requirements, and deliver scalable technology solutions using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Translate business and data needs into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Analyze complex business/product problems and identify opportunities for automation and optimization
- Understand data movement, upstream/downstream systems, integrations, and dependencies
- Perform process modeling and data analysis (including business process flows)
- Create interactive prototypes, mockups, and functional specifications
- Support and participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives)
- Partner closely with Product Owners, tech leads, architects, developers, and QA throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Write technical user stories based on both business functionality and technical capabilities
- Support product roadmap planning, prioritization, and backlog management
- Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to business and technical leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- Proven experience in data migration, data integration, and data modeling
- Advanced SQL skills (strong preference for experience with DB2 and/or PostgreSQL)
- Experience working with APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong Agile experience (Scrum), including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and participating in Agile ceremonies
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, mortgage, banking, or regulated industries
- Experience with Angular applications
- Hands-on experience with Cypress or other automation testing tools / writing automation test scripts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise digital transformation or modernization initiatives

Assignment Details
- Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
- Duration: Approximately 12 months
- Employment: W-2 through ZipStaff (no C2C or 1099)
- Standard business hours
