About the role
RDP Technologies Limited is India's Make-in-India IT hardware OEM — PLI 2.0 selected, MeitY recognized as Best Laptop Manufacturer, 300K+ devices shipped across government, enterprise, and AI customers. GeM (Government e-Marketplace) is our largest business vertical — we sell PCs, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, workstations, servers, and data-center-grade AI hardware through 2,000+ RDP-authorized channel partners to central government, state governments, PSUs, defence, and academic institutions across India. As Account Manager — GeM Business, you own a portfolio of channel partners in your assigned region and drive their bid participation, deal closure, and revenue growth on GeM.
What you'll own
- Manage a portfolio of RDP-authorized GeM channel partners in your assigned region (Tier-1 or Tier-2 city) — 360° account management across relationship, commercials, deliveries, warranty, dispute resolution, and partner satisfaction
- Drive partner-led sales on GeM — ensure your partners are participating in relevant bids on time, submitting compliant quotes, and following through on wins
- Grow revenue from your partner portfolio quarter-over-quarter — primary KPI is closed GeM sales through your partners on RDP hardware (desktops, AIOs, laptops, thin clients, workstations, servers, data-center hardware)
- Coordinate with RDP's Presales, Product, and Supply Chain teams to unblock partner requirements — quotes, samples, compliance docs, POTCA support, MAF / authorization letters
- Onboard new partners in your region — identify prospects, initiate authorization, drive first-bid participation
- Run monthly partner reviews with each account — bid participation rate, win rate, quote turnaround, escalation tracking, next-quarter pipeline
- Represent RDP at partner-facing events, GeM workshops, and regional trade meets
- Feed structured partner intelligence back into RDP CRM (Odoo) — pipeline, deal profile, bid outcomes, competitor movements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on GeM experience — non-negotiable. Candidates without GeM sales experience will not be considered.
- Minimum 2 years in IT hardware sales on GeM — desktops, laptops, thin clients, workstations, servers, or data-center hardware sold through GeM tenders
- Deep working knowledge of the GeM portal — bid participation flow, catalog listing, BOQ compliance, RA / L1 dynamics, contract award, POTCA workflow, MAF handling
- Channel-partner management experience — you have run a partner portfolio before, not just direct sales
- Strong written and spoken English + at least one Indian language relevant to your posting region (Hindi / Telugu / Tamil / Bengali / Kannada / Marathi / Gujarati)
- Comfortable with CRM discipline — Odoo, Salesforce, Zoho, or any modern pipeline tool. Odoo 12 experience is a strong plus.
- Any graduate degree — engineering / commerce / arts / science all welcome
- Ambition to grow into a Regional Sales Manager or Vertical Head role over 3–5 years as RDP's GeM business scales
Where and how
- Locations: 10 openings across India — Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and select Tier-2 cities (Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kochi, Bhubaneswar). Home-city posting; regional travel expected.
