About the role
We are seeking a dependable, observant, and trustworthy Watchman to safeguard our property, equipment, and assets. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for keeping a watchful eye over the premises during off-hours, conducting routine patrols, deterring trespassing or theft, and ensuring all entry points, gates, and facilities remain secure.
The ideal candidate is vigilant, independent, reliable, and capable of handling routine overnight monitoring with a strong sense of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Premises Surveillance: Maintain a constant watch over the assigned property, buildings, and perimeter to protect against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and property damage.
- Routine Patrols: Conduct regular, scheduled rounds on foot or via vehicle across the property, inspecting doors, windows, gates, and storage areas to ensure they are securely locked.
- Access & Visitor Monitoring: Monitor who enters and leaves the premises (if applicable during shift hours) and prevent unauthorized entry by unauthorized personnel or vehicles.
- Safety & Hazard Checks: Check for potential safety hazards such as water leaks, fire hazards, broken equipment, or safety violations, and report them immediately.
- Emergency Response: Handle suspicious activities, disturbances, or emergencies calmly and promptly, contacting management, property owners, or emergency services (police, fire) when required.
- Shift Logging: Maintain a clear and accurate logbook of events, patrol times, visitors, and any unusual incidents observed during the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a watchman, guard, caretaker, or in a similar property monitoring role is preferred.
- Dependability: Proven track record of punctuality, trustworthiness, and reliability, especially for overnight or solitary shifts.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to walk the property regularly, climb stairs, and work overnight hours in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Basic communication skills to report issues clearly to management or emergency services.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and provide reliable references.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is a plus, but practical experience and a strong work ethic are valued most.
Pay: AED1,100.00 - AED1,200.00 per month
