Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced NOC Engineer to manage and coordinate No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permits, and approvals for construction and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with relevant Abu Dhabi government authorities, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely approvals and smooth execution of project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on NOC applications, permits, drawings, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with relevant Abu Dhabi authorities and government entities for project approvals and clearances.
- Manage NOC submissions through applicable authority portals and systems.
- Coordinate with Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), Abu Dhabi Mobility, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), TAQA Distribution, Etisalat/e&, du, and other relevant authorities and utility providers, as applicable to the project.
- Review authority requirements, comments, and conditions and coordinate with engineering teams to address them.
- Coordinate NOCs related to road works, excavation, infrastructure works, utility connections, temporary access, diversions, and other construction activities.
- Monitor the status of all NOC applications and ensure approvals are obtained within project deadlines.
- Maintain an updated NOC tracker covering submissions, comments, approvals, renewals, and expiry dates.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, surveyors, site engineers, and project managers regarding NOC requirements.
- Attend authority meetings, technical discussions, and site inspections when required.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved NOC conditions and authority requirements.
- Coordinate the renewal, modification, or extension of NOCs and permits where required.
- Identify potential approval delays and proactively coordinate with relevant parties to resolve them.
- Maintain proper records of approved NOCs, permits, drawings, correspondence, and authority approvals.
- Assist project teams in resolving authority comments and technical issues related to NOC submissions.
- Ensure all submissions comply with applicable Abu Dhabi regulations, authority standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of NOC/authority coordination experience in Abu Dhabi's construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong practical knowledge of Abu Dhabi authority NOC procedures and approval processes.
- Previous experience dealing with Abu Dhabi government authorities and utility providers is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documents.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and document control systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE driving license is preferred.
- Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience obtaining NOCs and construction-related approvals in Abu Dhabi, with a strong understanding of local authority procedures and the ability to independently manage NOC submissions from initial application through approval.
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
