We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Client Coverage (Asset Servicing) to join our Asset Servicing team in Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing strategic client relationships across assigned markets, serving as a trusted partner to clients and helping drive commercial outcomes through deep industry insight, consultative engagement, and close coordination across internal teams.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to manage, retain, and grow existing client relationships across assigned segments and markets.
- Identify opportunities to expand client business and drive incremental account growth through cross-sell and broader solution engagement.
- Act as a consultative partner to clients, providing strategic advice to senior client stakeholders on how to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
- Promote BNY’s services and product capabilities by aligning solutions to client needs and business priorities.
- Support commercial discussions, including evaluation of deal structure, pricing considerations, and contract terms, to help achieve optimal outcomes for both the client and BNY.
- Share market and industry insights with clients, including emerging trends and their potential impact on clients’ operating models, investment priorities, and business strategies.
- Recommend relevant product and service enhancements for the assigned client segment, helping address unmet client needs and improving the overall client value proposition.
- Contribute to thought leadership efforts by identifying themes and opportunities based on client feedback and market developments, and communicating these insights internally and externally where appropriate.
- Maintain a strong understanding of client activity across the firm and serve as a senior point of escalation to support overall client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular and proactive client engagement to ensure ongoing satisfaction, strategic alignment, and awareness of evolving client priorities.
- Partner with senior team members, business development, and client service teams to ensure client relationship strategies are effectively executed. Collaborative and team-oriented, contributing effectively to team objectives by supporting senior colleagues across a broad range of client and business activities.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience; advanced degree such as an MBA is preferred.
- Significant experience in relationship management, client coverage, sales, business development, client service, or consulting within the financial services industry.
- 5+ Years experience supporting asset servicing clients, with a strong understanding of the institutional client landscape and broader financial services ecosystem, including within the UAE and GCC.
- Exhibits the ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment, managing time-sensitive and competing priorities with sound judgment and composure, while engaging confidently and credibly with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deepen senior client relationships, with experience engaging key decision-makers and senior executives.
- Strong track record of achieving commercial, revenue, or growth objectives, including identifying cross-sell opportunities and expanding wallet share within existing clients.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and client business challenges across the Middle East; broader regional experience is an advantage.
- Ability to operate in a highly consultative manner, translating client needs into strategic opportunities and solution-led discussions.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory, compliance, and reputational considerations relevant to client relationship management in financial services.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, service, and coverage teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language capability would be an advantage. Strong appreciation of local market dynamics and cultural nuances across the Middle East.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with asset owners, sovereign-related institutions, pension funds, financial institutions, or other large strategic clients within the asset servicing space.
- Exposure to digital, data, or financial technology-enabled solutions relevant to client needs.
- Experience operating in a regional or multi-market coverage role across the Middle East region. Established network and credibility within the Middle East institutional client market.
