ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II

As an Engineering Technician II, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the United States government and associated agencies. You will play a crucial role in the successful and on-time delivery of customer needs, ensuring operational success across the fleet.
- Lead/Manage/Support - Demonstrate ability to work independently while maintaining accountability for assigned tasks and meeting deadlines. Prove that your capable of adapting to changing priorities, supporting team objectives, and consistently delivering quality work with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate - Ability to have a team-oriented mindset by effectively communicating with coworkers, customers, and leadership to work towards a productive environment and achieve common goals.
- Drive - Desire to learn technologies behind Commercial Off-The-Shelf digital cameras, video cameras, Infrared cameras, night vision equipment, video distribution systems. Applying those technologies into military systems, researching replacements, troubleshooting existing systems, recommending improvements.
- Utilize - Have prior experience with using electrical tools, hand tools, measuring devices, wiring equipment, Microsoft Office products, and electronics equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your electrical and installation expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Engineering Technician II must have: Education: Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. Experience: 1+ years of related experience US citizenship required Potential travel: 10-20% *** Minimum Secret Clearance or ability to attain and Secret Clearance required. ***

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.20 - $36.80. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
