Job Overview
Astra Construction LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks skills and a background in construction accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping, and supporting the company's financial reporting and accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Track and manage construction job costs.
- Handle retainage accounting and monitor outstanding retainage balances.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with payroll and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare and organize documentation for accountants and year-end tax reporting.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
- Previous construction accounting experience is required.
- Strong understanding of retainage, job costing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting purposes.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
