MEP Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a MEPProject Engineer for our Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and ensuring the design integrity and compliance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across interior fit-out projects. The role focuses on design review, technical coordination, compliance verification, and consultancy support, rather than site execution or installation.

Job Description:

· Review and assess MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for compliance with design intent, local codes, and project requirements.

· Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure proper integration of MEP services within the fit-out design.

· Provide technical guidance during design development, tendering, and construction phases.

· Conduct design audits and prepare technical reports on MEP systems’ adequacy and compliance.

· Review material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation submitted by contractors.

· Attend design coordination meetings and provide technical input to resolve MEP-related design conflicts.

· Perform site inspections to verify that MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and standards.

· Support project managers in evaluating contractor proposals, variations, and progress claims related to MEP works.

· Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, DM, Civil Defense, etc.) and assist in approval coordination.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainable building systems and energy-efficient MEP solutions.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a consultancy environment specializing in interior fit-out projects.

· Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing, and ELV systems.

· Sound knowledge of local authority standards and approval procedures (DEWA, DCD, DM, DDA, Trakhees, DMCC etc.).

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and design analysis software.

· Excellent report writing and technical review skills.

· Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
