English Tutor

We are seeking an English tutor to work with middle and high school students in a structured, in-person setting.

Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language Arts (reading, writing, analysis)
• Support creative and academic writing
• Assist with AP English
• Work with students in 1:1 and small group sessions
• Help students improve standardised (SAT/ACT) test scores.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Literature, History, Education, or a related field, with a strong background in academic writing.
• One of the degrees should be from a US university.
• 3+ years of English teaching or tutoring experience
• Strong high school English background
• AP experience preferred
• Master’s degree and/or classroom teaching experience are a plus
• The capability to teach history would be a plus
• Retired teachers welcome

Schedule:

• Part-time: 10–20 hours/week
• When the school is in session, anytime between: Weekdays: 4:30–8:30 PM | Saturdays: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• During school summer breaks: Weekdays: 9:00 - 5:00 PM. Weekends are optional
• Flexible scheduling

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
