About the role
Position Objectives Analyzing and delivering end-to-end data solutions, including data pipelines, data models, and advanced analytics dashboards. This is to transform data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and digital quantified initiatives.
Job Description and Responsibilities - Build Analysis Services, reporting models.
- Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.
- Connect to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
- Analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
- Implement row-level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
- Make DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
- Use advanced-level calculations on the data set.
- Design methodology and project documentation.
- Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
- Adept in development, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
- Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
- Have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
- Have knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, PolyBase, Visual Studio, etc.
- Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
- Develop custom visuals for Power BI.
- Handled large-scale datasets and big data files
Qualification and Required Skills - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI, Azure, or Data-related) are preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Proven experience in designing and developing ETL processes (batch and real-time).
- Experience building and optimising data pipelines and data integration workflows.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory) and related tools such as PolyBase and Visual Studio.
- Experience working with SQL Data Warehousing concepts and architectures.
- Exposure to public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business-friendly language.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and data analysis techniques is a plus.
