Job Title: Business Consultant – AA Accounts, Deposits & Lending
The Business Consultant – AA Accounts, Deposits & Lending is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing functional solutions, and supporting the implementation of core banking capabilities related to Accounts, Deposits, and Lending. The role works closely with clients, business stakeholders, product teams, solution architects, and delivery teams to drive digital transformation initiatives, optimize banking processes, and ensure successful implementation of enterprise banking solutions while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Accounts, Deposits, and Lending solutions
- Conduct business process analysis and recommend process improvements aligned with banking industry best practices
- Lead client workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution demonstrations to understand business needs and define solution scope
- Configure and support the implementation of core banking modules related to Customer Accounts, Current & Savings Accounts (CASA), Term Deposits, Loans, and Lending products
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Managers, Developers, QA teams, and Project Managers to ensure successful solution delivery
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and solution documentation
- Support solution design by ensuring functional requirements align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and product capabilities
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and standard product functionality and recommend suitable solutions or enhancements
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and production validation by preparing test scenarios and resolving functional issues
- Assist clients during implementation, migration, and go-live activities by providing functional guidance and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, risk management policies, and internal governance standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide product training, knowledge transfer sessions, and post-implementation support to business users and client teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve banking products, customer experience, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5–7 years of experience as a Business Consultant, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or similar role within the banking or financial services industry
- Strong functional knowledge of Accounts, Deposits (CASA, Fixed/Term Deposits), and Lending products including retail and corporate banking operations
- Experience working on Core Banking System implementation, enhancement, or digital transformation projects
- Strong understanding of banking processes including customer onboarding, account lifecycle management, deposits, loan origination, loan servicing, repayments, and credit operations
- Experience in business process modeling, requirements gathering, functional documentation, and solution design
- Hands-on experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, process flows, and use cases
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience supporting UAT, SIT, production deployment, and post-implementation activities
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, AML/KYC processes, and risk management principles is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience working directly with business users, clients, implementation teams, and senior stakeholders
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master, Agile Business Analyst , or banking domain certifications are considered an advantage.
