Al Rostamani Pegel is a main contractor in the UAE Construction Industry and has to its credit, timely and successful construction of several multipurpose projects including high rise buildings, villas, hotels, hospitals and industrial facilities.

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing and maintaining good relations with all government authorities and leading any related activities to ensure compliance with regulations and the smooth operation of the company. Additionally, oversees the management and in-charge of the Labour Camp, ensuring its operations meet legal and company standards for employee welfare and safety.

Job Responsibilities

Government Relations (PRO):

• Keep an update on government regulations and statutory requirements and determine their impact on the operations of the company. Continuously update management on such.
• Prepare and submit the appropriate documents for licenses, permits, etc. for project sites and company offices. Ensures that all documents are complete and up-to-date.
• Coordinate with the concerned government authorities in order to obtain the necessary licenses/permits for all activities related to the company's operations and projects.
• Maintains records of all licenses/permits of the company and project sites and monitors the validity of the same and take action on timely renewal.
• Liaise with the government authorities (i.e. Municipality, Tecom, RTA, DEWA, DCD, DLD…etc) and other bodies like Sharjah Govt. departments etc. to resolve issues related to company licenses, registration with the Chamber of Commerce…etc.
• Proactively highlights any possible non-conformities and follows up with concerned manager for rectification or preventive measure.
• To be available, if required by the management, at any inspections carried out by the Governmental Authorities on our projects and offices.
• Follow-up and take appropriate actions on any non-conformities and undertaking to ensure that certificates or clearances are received on timely basis.
• Assist HR with any problems that they may face concerning employees which would also require the assistance/intervention from Government Authorities such as Dubai Police, Dubai Courts, Dubai Immigration, etc.
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Government Authorities especially, Dubai Police, Dubai Immigration, Economic Department, etc.
• Assists in coordinating and following up on the outstanding receivables from Clients/Authorities of specified projects as assigned by the Management.
• Submits required reports on licenses, permits, undertakings done and status reports as required by the Business.
• Follows systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensures that the company’s Management Systems (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, etc) are implemented, complied with and maintained in his area of work.
Able to do networking and flexibility in time as this role may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Labor In-charge:

• Manage the allocation of accommodation within the Labour Camp, ensuring optimal use of available space, and addressing any issues related to housing, utilities, or amenities in coordination with the relevant departments.
• Liaise with government bodies regarding inspections or any legal matters related to the Labour Camp, ensuring timely submission of documents and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Oversee the operations of the Labour Camp to ensure it complies with local laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations. Regularly inspect the camp facilities to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and employee welfare.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Diploma in public relations communications or related field or at least high school.
• UAE National.

Experience:

• At least 7-10 years as PRO with a previous experience with a Construction Company.
• Preferably with knowledge of code of construction of UAE.
• Must have good contacts in Government departments.
• Fair knowledge about the Camps requirements.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Able to network and work flexibly, including weekends, or holidays based on the business needs.
• Understands and respects cultural differences to ensure smooth communication and camp operations.
• Capable of leading camp staff, ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Strong interpersonal skills for resolving disputes within the camp and with authorities.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting, documentation, and communication purpose.
Familiarity with electronic document management systems for tracking and archiving important government and project documents.
