Procurement Engineer

Baseel United is looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our Technical Procurement Department.

Role Purpose: Support all engineering-related purchasing activities, ensuring that materials meet technical standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical: Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare accurate material take-offs (MTOs).
• Evaluation: Prepare Technical and Commercial Comparison Sheets to evaluate supplier compliance and support decision-making.
• Negotiation: Handle RFQs and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordination: Work closely with the Quality Department on material submittals and with site teams for timely deliveries.
• Supplier Management: Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and identify new qualified vendors.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 2–5 years in engineering procurement within the construction/contracting sector.
• Software: Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Language: Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
