Warehouse Manager - St. Louis - 2nd Shift

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Operations Department | Full-Time | Onsite - St. Louis, Missouri

Service Metal is a nationwide Master Distributor of industrial pipe fittings, valves, and flanges. We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our St. Louis team and lead 2nd Shift operations.

Role Summary: We're looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our 2nd Shift team. This is a full-time, on-site, salaried role where you'll collaborate with other managers while directly leading a team of Warehouse Leads and Associates. In this role, you'll help drive safe, efficient warehouse operations and deliver exceptional service to our customers every day.

What You'll Do: As the leader of this new shift, you'll play a key role managing the team -hiring, training, and developing Warehouse Associates with the help of the Regional Operations Manager. The Managers hours will be Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM, offering four 10-hour workdays and a three-dayweekend every week. It's a great opportunity to shape a high-performing team while helping grow our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost control
• Plan labor needs and adjust staffing based on demand
• Lead and mentor a team to achieve performance goals
• Oversee inventory processes and drive improvements
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Investigate issues and implement corrective actions
• Track and achieve key performance metrics

Preferred SkillsExperience

• 2-3 years warehouse management experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred (real-world experience valued)
• Proven results in safety, quality, delivery, and inventory goals
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Work Environment:

• This will be a mixture of warehouse and office environments.
• Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Regular use of PIT equipment throughout the day.
