Role summary:Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. The AdTech Measurement and Reporting team delivers comprehensive performance insights to support informed decision-making. This team designs and implements scalable, cloud-native platforms for real-time data processing and AI integration. Collaborating across functions, members develop robust tools that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. By applying advanced engineering principles and model-driven design, the team ensures reliable, high-quality outputs that drive business value. The group focuses on continuous improvement and innovation while aligning with strategic goals and operational excellence to support Walmart’s commitment to impactful technology solutions.
What you'll do:
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Lead full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Conduct system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
- Develop AI-driven applications and integrate machine learning components for automation.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven practices, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong experience in software development lifecycle management, encompassing coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in API design, software prototyping, and applying software design patterns for secure, maintainable, and modular solutions.
- Ability to lead platform engineering efforts, delivering infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers, influencing technical decisions, and fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
- Data-driven problem-solving skills with experience in requirements analysis and platform design and development.
- Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
