Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and a Missouri or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
• Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts; shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM depending on assignment
• Some shifts are open-ended ('dot shifts'), requiring nurses to stay until all post-surgical patients are recovered and cleared
• On-call requirements include 1–2 weeknight call shifts every 2 weeks and one full weekend (Friday through Monday 7:00 AM) every 8–10 weeks
• Two RNs are on call at a time; must be able to respond and arrive on-site within 30 minutes when called in
• No dedicated evening relief shift — call nurses manage patient flow and determine when day staff can be released

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes when called in
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
