Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a cancer hospital and research center in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• Work setting is a cancer hospital and research center operating room
• Day/evening rotating schedule with a combination of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Shift start times include 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, or 10:30 AM–8:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
• On-call coverage is required as needed, including evening (3:00 PM–11:00 PM), night (11:00 PM–7:00 AM), and weekend (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) call shifts
• Weekend work required as needed
• Surgical specialties include neuro, thoracic, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotic surgery (Da Vinci)
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Oncology experience preferred
• Both circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in a variety of surgical specialties
• Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after contract signing — candidates outside Ohio must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
