Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary

Summary:
The Transporter is responsible for safe and timely transport of patients throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required

• Must complete in-house orientation program
• High School diploma required.
• Successfully completes transporter orientation.

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Previous experience in a patient care services environment.
• Knowledge of patient transport.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Physical ability to withstand long periods of walking, standing, and pushing.
• Must be able to assist the nursing staff with lifting and transferring of patients.
