Trainee DevOps Engineer

We are currently on the lookout for highly motivated Trainee DevOps Engineer. In this role, you should be able to work in a challenging environment with seniors. You should have excellent personal, organizational and technical skills. Hired candidates will have the opportunity to work on high visibility and technically complex projects.

Job Description:

• Troubleshoot server-side and database issues.
• Manage data and application backups and restoration.
• Ensure the health of production and staging environments.
• Write automated scripts to perform repeated tasks.
• Perform other support activities.
• Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g software developers etc).
• Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
• Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of provisioning, configuring, managing AWS services such as VPC/Subnet/Security Group, EC2, ECS, CLI, S3, Route 53, Cloud Watch, Lambda, Config, and IAM.
• Strong working knowledge of setting up pipelines and integrating CI/CD processes using Jenkins and bitbucket.
• Strong working knowledge of Supporting and developing containerised CI/CD deployment such as Docker
• Strong working knowledge of server side, hardware and databases.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.
