Duties
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among young children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons, free play, and rest periods while maintaining high standards of behavior management.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's individual needs.
- Incorporate child development instruction techniques that support physical education, social skills, and emotional regulation.
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain detailed documentation of child progress and incidents as required by licensing standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events or themed activities that enhance learning experiences and promote community engagement.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, including early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention programs to support diverse learners is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
