Job Overview
The Team Leader will oversee a dual function team supporting Pulse training and medical coding across the MEA region. This role combines operational leadership, stakeholder management, and technical oversight of both Pulse training and medical coding quality.
Based in Cairo, the Team Leader will manage a team of platform trainers responsible for onboarding and upskilling providers on Pulse, alongside medical coders who ensure accurate and compliant medical coding services. The role requires a balance of people leadership, process optimisation, and regional coordination to ensure high service quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in provider experience and coding accuracy.
What You Do
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach and develop a team of platform trainers and medical coders ensuring cross capability amongst team members
- Set clear performance objectives and monitor KPIs related to training effectiveness, coding accuracy and service delivery
- Foster a collaborative, high performance team culture across the team
- Oversee delivery of training programs for providers on Pulse
- Ensure training materials are accurate, up to date and aligned with system enhancements
- Monitor provider adoption, engagement and feedback to improve training approaches
- Supervise coding activities to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with coding standards
- Implement quality assurance processes, including audits and feedback loops
- Support resolution of complex coding queries and escalations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across training and coding workflows including the cross training of all staff in the team
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to enhance productivity and quality
- Maintain documentation of processes, guidelines and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams including Claims Automation, Quality, Policy Management and others
- Act as a key point of contact for regional stakeholders
- Support communication of system updates, code changes and operational impacts
- Track & report on key performance indicators, including training outcomes and coding accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management

What You Bring
To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills / experience:
Essential
- Minimum degree level qualification in relevant healthcare or related field
- Previous experience in medical coding, healthcare operations or medical insurance
- Strong knowledge of coding standards
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Professional certification in medical coding
- Results driven and pragmatic, focused on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Confident communicator and facilitator, able to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Collaborative and resilient, thriving in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
