About the role
The Sr. Recruiter is a senior-level recruiting professional who owns full-cycle talent acquisition for an assigned business area while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to a small team of recruiters. This role is equal parts hands-on recruiter and team lead; you'll carry your own req load while helping others on the team deliver at a high level.
Location: Preferred 3-day hybrid in our Tempe, AZ headquarters; remote considered for qualified out-of-market candidates
General Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for an assigned business area, ensuring roles are filled with qualified talent in a timely manner
- Deep expertise in applicant tracking systems, specifically iCIMS
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and prioritization to 1–2 recruiters to ensure alignment with business needs
- Serve as the primary escalation point for recruiting challenges and partner with leaders to drive resolution
- Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand staffing needs, priorities, and workforce plans
- Define roles upfront with leaders, including scope, success measures, and indicators of strong performance
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned to business priorities, including passive sourcing and employment marketing
- Personally engage passive talent using advanced and AI-enabled sourcing tools, professional networks, referrals, and creative outreach
- Set the standard for proactive, relationship-driven recruiting across the team
- Build and maintain short-term and long-term talent pipelines ahead of demand
- Review recruiter pipelines and candidate submissions to ensure quality, alignment, and readiness
- Drive improvements in recruiting processes, tools, and execution
- Coordinate interviews and manage feedback loops with speed, structure, and clarity
- Use recruiting metrics to track progress, identify risks, and drive accountability
- Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity in the applicant tracking system
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Experience
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least one year in a lead or senior capacity
- Proven ability to source and recruit for technical, administrative, and management positions
- Strong relationship-building skills with hiring managers, business leaders, and candidates at all levels
- Advanced sourcing skills including AI-enabled tools, professional networks, and creative outreach strategies
- Professional negotiation skills, including experience leading salary discussions
- Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and urgency
- Committed to process improvement and recruiting best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times
- Must meet company minimum driving standards and ability to travel locally as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
