About the Role
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee all inbound and outbound logistics operations. This individual will lead daily dock activity, manage freight flow, ensure inventory accuracy, and drive efficient order fulfillment.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Operations
- Oversee all outbound shipments (parcel, LTL, FTL)
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time
- Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and logistics partners
- Monitor and manage shipping costs
Receiving Operations
- Manage inbound freight and vendor deliveries
- Verify shipment accuracy and inspect for damage
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate system records
- Oversee staging, labeling, and put-away processes
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff
- Assign daily workloads and monitor performance
- Maintain accountability and productivity standards
- Support hiring and onboarding
Inventory & Systems
- Maintain inventory accuracy across all transactions
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits
- Utilize warehouse and shipping systems to track operations
- Report on key performance metrics
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
- Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
-Required
- 3+ years of shipping & receiving experience
- 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of freight, parcel shipping, and dock operations
- Experience with warehouse or shipping systems
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
-Preferred
- Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment environments
- Exposure to carrier/vendor coordination or cost management
- Equipment certification (or willingness to obtain)
