Senior Mechanical Engineer

Al Moftah Al Dhabi Building Contracting LLC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years experience in Dubai. A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for all construction activities that relate to mechanical equipment installation and maintenance. Also keep records and provide solutions to all unexpected technical problems that might arise.

• Responsible for breaking down or simplifying construction drawings for fellow engineers and other construction site workers.
• Responsible for the planning and analysis of the aspect of the construction that involves mechanical works.
• Ensure the absolute compliance of suppliers in supplying the materials and machinery needed on-site.
• Oversee the general activities of mechanical works and structures on-site.
• attending meetings and deliberate with clients and other co-workers like the civil engineer, architect, and other building consultants.
• Visiting regular to the construction site to monitor and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties that might arise during work
• Doing a quality check and confirm if the materials are ideal for needed purpose.
• Control the timely inflow and supply of materials for use on the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in high rise construction, MEP, or building services projects.
• Experience managing large commercial, residential, hospital, airport, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Professional engineering certification is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, and ventilation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and codes such as ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, IPC, and local building regulations.
• Strong project management, planning, and coordination skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Experience with value engineering and construction methodologies.
