Senior Electrical Design Engineer

1- QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in MV Network Design for critical infrastructures such as Airports, Power Plants, etc.
• Experience in MV Network rehabilitation projects
• Experience working within engineering consultancies is mandatory
• Experience in projects in GCC, mainly in UAE and KSA
• Knowledge of IEC and IEEE Standards
• ETAP software experience

2- RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop design criteria
• Manage Design Activities
• Perform Feasibility study to evaluate redundancy solutions for the MV network including but not limited to: network reconfiguration proposals, CAPEX and OPEX estimates, MV network constructability assessments, reliability assessments, operational impact and implementation constraints, implementation phasing and migration strategy
• Perform ETAP studies: load flow analysis, short circuit study, protection coordination and relay settings, cable ampacity studies
• Develop Single Line Diagrams for the MV Network
• Cable Sizing Calculations
• Generator Sizing Calculations
• Transformer Sizing Calculations
• DC Battery System sizing calculations
• MV Network including substations GAs, Generator buildings GAs, cable route, earthing system, etc.
• Prepare BOQs and Cost Estimates
• Prepare specifications for MV Network Equipment and cables
• Prepare Datasheets for MV Network Equipment and cables
• Coordinate with end clients and suppliers
• Perform Value Engineering studies
• Support in proposal preparation
