Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and cash flow.
- Prepare monthly valuations, payment applications, and commercial reports.
- Review and certify subcontractor invoices and progress claims.
- Evaluate quotations and support procurement activities.
- Manage variation orders, change requests, and contractual claims.
- Maintain project cost control systems and forecasting reports.
- Track productivity and material consumption against budget.
- Assist the Project Manager with commercial and contractual matters.
- Administer subcontract agreements and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Participate in negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Support project planning by providing financial analysis and cost forecasts.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial, factory, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects.
- Experience in Oman or GCC countries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost control, and contract administration.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
