Job Type: Full-Time | Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $16.00/hour
Position Summary
Strawbridge Studios is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Production Designer to join our in-house printing team. This role combines graphic design expertise with production-focused execution to create visually compelling, print-ready materials for a variety of products and customer needs. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, a passion for visual communication, and the technical skills to bring creative concepts to life while meeting quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, edit, and prepare artwork for a variety of printed products and promotional materials.
- Create visually engaging layouts using effective typography, color theory, imagery, and composition.
- Develop designs that align with customer requirements, brand standards, and production specifications.
- Prepare and optimize files for print production while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Review artwork for consistency, formatting, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Contribute creative ideas and design solutions that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field OR equivalent professional portfolio experience.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout design, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for print production or commercial printing.
- Knowledge of print-ready file preparation, color management, and production workflows.
- Experience working on high-volume creative projects.
- Familiarity with current design trends and industry best practices.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio showcasing graphic design, layout design, typography, branding, and production design work is required for consideration.

Work Location
This is an in-house position located in Durham, NC. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
