PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services in accordance with project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Assess supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers, site teams, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor procurement schedules to support project timelines and minimize delays.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, material discrepancies, and supplier performance concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with UAE suppliers, vendors, and local market conditions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement software is an advantage.
