Part-Time Shop / Yard Worker

Lemke Fence of Jefferson is looking to hire a part-time Shop/Yard Worker to help keep our yard, shop, equipment, and materials organized and ready for daily fence installations.

This is a seasonal part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available.

Job Duties

Responsibilities may include:

• Loading and unloading fence materials
• Organizing pipe, lumber, gates, fittings, and job materials
• Preparing materials for upcoming jobs
• Assisting with shop work
• Forklift operation
• Keeping the yard and shop clean and organized
• Helping with equipment, trucks, and general maintenance
• MIG welding
• Assisting crews as needed

What We’re Looking For

The right person should be:

• Reliable and able to show up on time
• Comfortable working outside
• Able to lift and move materials
• Organized and willing to keep the yard clean
• Able to work independently after being trained
• Comfortable around tools, equipment, and construction materials

Experience with forklifts, welding, equipment maintenance, or construction materials is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Around 20 hours per week
• Seasonal position, typically May through November
• Daytime hours
