Odoo Junior Developer

About the Role

Amer Al Ghurair Real Estate Group is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Junior Odoo Developer to support the development, customization, implementation, and maintenance of our Odoo ERP platform.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Odoo development, Linux, Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo modules, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within a real estate business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules based on business requirements.
• Work with senior developers and functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Develop and customize Odoo models, views, reports, workflows, and business logic.
• Perform Python development for Odoo applications and custom modules.
• Work with XML, QWeb, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL as required.
• Integrate Odoo with other business applications and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Odoo application issues.
• Perform testing and ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
• Support Odoo implementation and configuration activities.
• Assist in data migration, data validation, and system upgrades.
• Maintain technical documentation for customizations and developments.
• Provide technical support to internal users and resolve system-related issues.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, CRM, Property Management, Sales, and other business teams to improve ERP processes.
• Stay updated with new Odoo versions, development practices, and relevant technologies.
• Will assist IT Manager on third-party integrations, ERP implementation, and complex customizations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 –2 years of experience in Odoo development or ERP application development.
• Basic Linux knowledge as an advantage, since Odoo environments are commonly hosted on Linux servers.
• Hands-on knowledge of Odoo framework and Python.
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with XML and QWeb.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of Odoo ORM, models, views, security/access rights, and module development.
• Knowledge of Git/version control is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Odoo 16/17/18/19 or recent Odoo versions.
• Experience developing custom Odoo modules from scratch.
• Knowledge of Odoo ERP implementation and customization.
• Exposure to CRM, Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, or Property Management modules.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Understanding of ERP workflows and business process automation.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
