About the role
We are a quickly growing Family Medicine practice looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team! Our ideal candidate is someone that is outgoing, friendly, and a team player.
Medical Assistant responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Rooming patients
- Vital signs
- Performing Medicare Wellness Visits and Annual Wellness Visits
- Calling patients with test results and various messages from the physician
- Administering injections
- Performing nasal and throat swabs
- Submitting prior authorizations through CoverMyMeds
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of referrals and insurance requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of how to use Athena a plus!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
