Responsibilities

• Be a team-oriented, highly-motivated individual with a passion for design, as well as proven skills in developing forward thinking design schemes.
• Develop, write, and coordinate Interior Design specifications and finishes based upon approved project direction.
• Make finish and material selections for Interior Design projects.
• Issue Project Interior specifications and revisions to proper project personnel.
• Collaborate with Architects and Designers in the industry.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, creativity, and teamwork to accomplish goals.
• Approve all finish samples and fabric cutting samples received through the construction process.
• Create personal connections with team members, vendors and clients to establish long-term relationships.
• Work with in-house 3D Artists, Architects, and Construction Experts to create dynamic and creative projects in the hospitality and entertainment industry.

Job Requirements

• Must have working knowledge of CAD programs.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with vendors, product representatives and other members of the profession.
• Proficient in writing FF&E specifications and the required process of sample submittal and approvals.
• Strong technical and practical skill sets with an understanding of architectural conventions, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCP, electrical and millwork.
• Knowledge of Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Cloud Products for the execution of FF&E specifications.
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, specifications, and a thorough understanding of trends in the industry to draw inspiration from.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Four or more years of verifiable work experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry.

Education & Licensure

• A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university required.
• NCIDQ Certification or Interior Design License a plus.
