About the role
Beau Dietl & Associates is hiring an experienced Insurance Surveillance Investigator for field-based, person-to-person surveillance on active insurance claims (workers' comp, disability, liability).
This is not a CCTV, camera-monitoring, or static guard post, applicants without direct field surveillance experience will not be considered.
Required Qualifications (must have ALL):
- Minimum 1 year of insurance surveillance investigation experience — conducting live, in-person, mobile surveillance of claimants/subjects
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, court-ready Sub Rosa reports
- Experience covertly following and observing subjects in vehicles and on foot without detection
- Own reliable vehicle for surveillance use
- Own surveillance camera equipment (video/photo)
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record
The Job:
- Surveil claimants suspected of insurance fraud
- Document activity via covert video/photo evidence
- Submit detailed Sub Rosa reports to claims/legal teams
- Work independently, often early mornings or irregular hours, tailing subjects to and from locations

- Have written Sub Rosa reports for claims or legal review
- Have experience conducting live, in-person surveillance (not static camera monitoring)
- Own your own vehicle and surveillance equipment

- Must have at least 1-2 years of experience specifically in insurance surveillance investigations. (workers' comp, disability, or liability claims)
- Must have experience conducting live, in-person, mobile surveillance of claimants/subjects (as opposed to reviewing or monitoring fixed CCTV/camera footage)
- Must have personal experience writing Sub Rosa reports for insurance claims or legal proceedings
- Must own reliable personal vehicle that you can use for surveillance work
- Must own your own surveillance camera/video equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be available to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, based on subject activity
