About the role

Position Description: Position Summary


The HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by performing a variety of administrative and operational tasks. This role is responsible for assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential information with professionalism.


Key Responsibilities


1. Recruitment & Onboarding


Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling

Coordinate candidate communications and follow-ups

Support onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork and orientation

Maintain applicant tracking system and recruitment records


2. Employee Records & HR Administration


Maintain and update employee files and HR databases

Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information

Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, offer letters, and verification forms

Support I-9 compliance and other regulatory documentation


3. Benefits & Payroll Support


Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions

Coordinate benefits administration (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)

Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying data

Track employee time-off requests and attendance records


4. Employee Engagement & Support


Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures

Support performance management processes and documentation


5. Compliance & Reporting


Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws

Assist with HR audits and reporting requirements

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and regulations


Qualifications


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

1–3 years of experience in HR or administrative support role


Skills & Competencies


Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems preferred

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills


Work Environment


Office-based or hybrid work environment

May involve handling confidential and sensitive information daily

Physical Requirements


Position requires effective communication with employees and third parties using common tele-communications and computer equipment. Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents. May require the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time. May also require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.


Work Environment


Position is in a busy office and hybrid environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential.
