Family Support Specialist – Autism & Developmental Disabilities

We are seeking a reliable, patient, and engaging Family Support Specialist to support a wonderful child with autism in the Pflugerville/Georgetown area.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in the home and community
• Facilitate play, social engagement, and meaningful activities
• Assist with daily routines and transitions
• Support emotional regulation and positive behavior strategies
• Accompany clients on community outings, parks, recreational activities, and appointments as needed
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment
• Communicate professionally with families and supervisors

Qualifications

• Experience working with autism, developmental disabilities, special needs, childcare, education, ABA, or caregiving preferred
• Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in challenging situations
• Strong communication skills
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass a background check

Schedule: Part-time afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.

Pay$22–$25 per hour depending on experience.
