About the role

About Us

Disaster Recovery Restoration (DRR) is a licensed, IICRC-certified restoration and reconstruction contractor serving the Phoenix metro area. We serve property management, senior living, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial facilities — and we're in growth mode.

The Role

This is a true right-hand position to our Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Owner. You'll work side by side with him every day, running his world — his calendar, his schedule, his follow-up — while driving the market intelligence that puts him in front of the right people.

The mission is simple to say and challenging to do well: research every vertical in the Phoenix commercial market, figure out who the decision-makers are, and get our CMO in the room with them. You're not selling anything. You're opening doors, building his network map, and making sure that once a relationship starts, it never goes cold.

The right person for this role thinks like a chief of staff: strategic, resourceful, organized, and comfortable operating with real autonomy on behalf of an executive.

What You'll DoMarket Research & Relationship Strategy

  • Map every commercial vertical we serve and identify the key decision-makers at each target account, including:

◦ Property management companies and facility managers

◦ Commercial office buildings

◦ Hospitals and healthcare systems

◦ Medical non-hospital facilities — medical offices, surgicenters, outpatient clinics, and dental offices

◦ Hospitality — hotels and resorts

◦ Multifamily housing

◦ Municipalities and government facilities

◦ Firehouses

◦ Nursing homes and assisted living communities

◦ Retail

◦ Educational institutions and libraries

◦ Stadiums, sports facilities, halls, and event venues

◦ Places of worship

◦ Industrial facilities

◦ General contractors that perform no restoration work

◦ Golf courses

  • Use LinkedIn, association directories, and online research to build and maintain the CMO's target relationship list
  • Research industry associations (BOMA, IREM, CAI, IFMA, AZ Multihousing, and similar): membership pricing, member lists, and event calendars — and keep the CMO booked for the lunches, mixers, and golf events where relationships happen
  • Reach out on the CMO's behalf to arrange introductions — face-to-face, Zoom, or phone

Executive Support

  • Own the CMO's calendar and build his daily schedule, including arranging brief 15-minute client drop-by visits (always with permission secured in advance)
  • Manage reminder and follow-up correspondence so every relationship and commitment stays warm
  • Communicate professionally with new and existing customers from your own company email account
  • Handle vendor onboarding and registration on commercial account compliance portals
  • Coordinate with our insurance team to get our current certificates of insurance as needed for new customers

Marketing Coordination

  • Work with our social media team to gather and distribute content across platforms
  • Send video content to existing customers and researched prospects to keep DRR top of mind

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years supporting an executive, owner, or sales/BD leader — as an EA, chief of staff, sales operations coordinator, or similar
  • A researcher's mindset: you enjoy digging into an industry, mapping who's who, and figuring out how to reach them
  • Polished, professional communication — written and verbal — because you'll be representing a C-level executive and the company daily
  • Exceptionally organized with relentless follow-through; nothing slips
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with executives, property managers, and facility directors
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, CRM software, and LinkedIn
  • Comfortable adopting new tools and using AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, and similar) to work faster and smarter in research, writing, and organization
  • Willing and able to make professional collections calls on unpaid invoices when needed
  • High discretion — you'll be inside the owner's calendar, relationships, and business information all day

Bonus points for: restoration, construction, insurance, commercial real estate, or property management industry exposure; experience with vendor compliance portals; prior chief-of-staff-style roles.

  • 401(k) plan after 6 months
