Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with X-ray certification to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills, and proficiency in radiography. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and efficiency.
- Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety.
- Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, managing materials, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for seamless workflow.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and oral health practices to promote ongoing wellness.
- Support the front desk by performing dental receptionist duties when needed, including appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out processes.
Requirements
- Valid X-ray certification recognized by state regulations;
- Proven experience in dental assisting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience working with 3D scanners or other advanced imaging technologies is a plus.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
