Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and overall childhood development.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
- Maintain classroom organization and management to ensure safety, cleanliness, and an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math activities, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification is required to ensure safety standards are met.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience working within private school environments or similar educational settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment is a plus.
