Job Overview
Bernecker's Farms, a trusted wholesale supplier of high-quality tropical plants since 1961, is seeking a meticulous and insightful Data Analyst to join our team. This is a Part-Time position based in United, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions that help us continue our legacy of providing quality plants and dependable support to our customers.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $35 - $40 USD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a keen eye for detail, helping to drive efficiency and growth across our sales, inventory, and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
* Collect, interpret, and analyse data from various sources, including sales figures, inventory systems, and customer databases, to identify trends and patterns.
* Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
* Produce and present regular reports and dashboards for management, summarising key findings and business insights.
* Analyse sales trends for our diverse product offerings, including foliage, palms, and specialty plants, to inform purchasing and sales strategies.
* Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies through data-driven insights.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all platforms and reports.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
* Strong technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
* Proficiency in SQL and a strong command of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
* Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
* A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
