Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Onsite Only)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with a strong background in designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within the banking sector .

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining cloud strategy, architecture, governance, security, and migration initiatives for a leading financial institution in Riyadh.

IMPORTANT: Applicants must have prior experience working directly for a Saudi Arabian Bank or a GCC-based Bank . This requirement is mandatory.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Riyadh. Remote working is not available.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures across Azure and GCP environments.
  • Lead cloud transformation and modernization initiatives within a banking environment.
  • Develop cloud architecture frameworks, standards, governance models, and best practices.
  • Create target-state architectures and cloud adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure cloud solutions comply with banking security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive migration of applications, databases, and infrastructure workloads to cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to deliver cloud solutions.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and design assurance activities.
  • Define disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience strategies.
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, cost management, and operational excellence.
  • Support DevOps, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD implementation.
  • Act as the cloud subject matter expert for architecture and strategic cloud initiatives.



Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of overall IT experience .
  • Minimum 5+ years in Cloud Architecture roles .
  • Strong hands-on experience with both:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Must have worked for a Saudi Bank or GCC Bank (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, or Oman) - Mandatory.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise cloud transformation projects within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, identity management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
