Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Care Center Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant early childhood education facility. This pivotal role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with educational regulations, developing enriching curricula, and fostering a nurturing environment for children. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative curriculum plans that support early childhood development and align with educational standards.
- Manage personnel including hiring, supervising, evaluating faculty and staff, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Oversee daily center operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Develop and manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality programs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and childcare licensing requirements.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts to support program enhancements, facility improvements, and community outreach initiatives.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to grow the center’s impact within the community and improve service delivery.
- Facilitate communication with parents and guardians through meetings, updates, and public speaking engagements to foster trust and transparency.
- Supervise school administrative functions including enrollment processes, record keeping, and legal compliance related to childhood education law.
- Promote a collaborative team environment by supervising school staff, evaluating faculty performance, and encouraging continuous improvement in instructional leadership.
Qualifications
- Meet the OCFS qualifications of a site director (criteria: education, experience and supervision)
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field (master’s degree with certification preferred)
- Have training and background in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education that encompasses child development and children’s learning from birth through kindergarten; family and community relationships; the practices of observing, documenting, and assessing young children; teaching and learning processes; and professional practices and development
- Have at least two years of full-time teaching experience in a child day care Center or other early childhood program
- Have at least 2 years of supervision experience in a leadership capacity in an early education/ child care environment.
- Strong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership in education, and classroom experience with young children.
- Demonstrated expertise with personnel management skills in educational environments.
- Knowledge of educational compliance regulations and childhood development standards.
- Excellent management skills with experience supervising staff and facilitating professional development.
- Familiarity with legal issues related to early childhood education and operational best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills suitable for public speaking engagements with parents, staff, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to develop strategic plans that align with organizational goals while fostering innovation in early childhood education programs.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $63,500.00 per year
