About the role

Mission of the Role

To build scalable systems, lead operational excellence, drive business growth initiatives, improve profitability, strengthen team performance, and reduce founder dependency by creating a high-performing, process-driven organization capable of sustained expansion.

The long-term objective is for the Business Operations & Growth Manager to become the central execution leader responsible for ensuring that strategic plans are translated into measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Operations & Process Excellence (25%)

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day business operations across all departments.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales, trainers, student services, marketing, and leadership.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and operational systems.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and growth constraints.
  • Implement automation, process improvements, and performance tracking systems.
  • Build operational infrastructure that supports rapid business growth.
  • Reduce operational dependency on the Founder through effective delegation and accountability systems.
  • Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor organizational performance.

2. Business Growth, Market Research & Expansion (20%)

  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in language training, EdTech, test preparation, and adjacent education markets.
  • Lead feasibility studies for new programs, products, and business verticals.
  • Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
  • Develop expansion recommendations supported by market data and financial analysis.
  • Support the launch of new products including CELPIP, IELTS, PTE Core, OET, and future educational offerings.
  • Identify partnership, licensing, affiliate, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Lead business expansion projects from concept through execution.

3. Team Leadership & Performance Management (15%)

  • Manage operational staff, coordinators, interns, trainers, and support personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability systems.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Monitor team productivity and operational effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across departments.
  • Support leadership succession planning and talent development.

4. Student Experience & Retention (10%)

  • Oversee student onboarding, engagement, satisfaction, and retention processes.
  • Monitor student success metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Resolve escalated student concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Analyze student feedback and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Develop initiatives to improve retention, referrals, and overall student experience.
  • Ensure service quality standards are consistently maintained across programs.

5. Product Development & Innovation Support (10%)

  • Collaborate with developers, trainers, researchers, and leadership on product initiatives.
  • Support development of internal learning systems, assessment platforms, student portals, and educational technology solutions.
  • Coordinate product testing, implementation, and launch activities.
  • Gather user feedback and recommend product improvements.
  • Monitor product adoption and performance metrics.

6. Recruitment, Hiring & Talent Acquisition (10%)

  • Lead recruitment initiatives across operational, academic, marketing, and support functions.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Create job descriptions, hiring plans, and recruitment processes.
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support final hiring decisions.
  • Build talent pipelines for future organizational growth.
  • Improve onboarding, training, and employee integration processes.

7. Business Intelligence, Financial Oversight & Reporting (10%)

  • Monitor key business metrics including revenue, profitability, lead generation, conversion rates, student retention, and team performance.
  • Analyze business data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
  • Track departmental KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and profitability analysis.
  • Assist leadership in making data-driven business decisions.

Ideal Candidate ProfileRequired Experience

  • 5+ years of Operations, Business Management, Project Management, or Growth Management experience.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations and improving business performance.
  • Strong understanding of business metrics, financial reporting, and operational KPIs.
  • Experience working directly with founders, business owners, or senior leadership teams.
  • Experience building systems, processes, and accountability frameworks.

Highly Preferred

  • Experience within EdTech, Education, Training, Coaching, or Service-Based Businesses.
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Experience leading business expansion projects.
  • Experience launching new products, services, or business units.
  • Strong understanding of marketing funnels, customer acquisition, and conversion metrics.
  • Experience with CRM systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and business analytics.

Compensation

Salary: ₹43,000 – ₹50,000 per month (based on experience and demonstrated capabilities)

Timings: 6 AM - 2 PM IST

Performance Bonus: Quarterly performance-based incentives

This role is designed for a future Head of Operations who can help scale Speak Infinite into a leading global education and test preparation company.

Pay: ₹43,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
