About the role
Role Overview
The Automation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated access systems including automatic gates, barriers, sectional doors, and automatic sliding/swing doors. The ideal candidate brings strong electromechanical expertise, hands-on field experience, and a commitment to delivering reliable, high‑quality service.
Key Responsibilities
· System Installation — Install motors, access control devices, and complete wiring for automated gates, barriers and door systems.
· Maintenance & Servicing — Conduct preventive maintenance, alignment checks, and safety testing.
· Troubleshooting — Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and control systems; repair or replace defective components.
· Control Wiring — Execute wiring, cable routing, controller programming, and functional testing.
· Safety Compliance — Ensure all installations meet safety standards and operational guidelines.
· Customer Interaction — Provide clear technical explanations and support to clients.
· Reporting — Prepare service reports, installation checklists, and maintenance documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Background — Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Experience — 2–5 years of experience in gate automation, barriers, or automatic door systems. ( Freshers also can apply)
- Mechanical & Electrical Skills — Strong understanding of electromechanical components, wiring diagrams, and safety devices.
- Communication — Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Work Requirements
- Outdoor & Site Work — Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in various site conditions.
- Tool Proficiency — Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Flexibility — Availability for overtime, emergency call-outs, and weekend work when required
