About the role

Advanced Technology Partners is the outsourced IT department and AI partner for small and mid-sized businesses.

We manage the technology so our clients can run their operations, and we are building out the applied side of AI: working tools that reduce time and error inside existing workflows.

The AI and Automation Analyst designs, builds, and maintains AI-powered automations and integrations for our clients, works directly with the people who use them through adoption, and delivers the training that turns new tools into daily practice. The problems are rarely well-defined when they reach you. Part of the job is working out what is worth building and how to measure whether it helped, then broadening across our client base as the practice grows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automations across Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Copilot) and Claude.
  • Build AI assistants and workflows against real business processes, including the prompts, templates, and reusable toolkits that allow non-technical users to run them consistently.
  • Write the scripts and integrations (Python, PowerShell, APIs) that connect business systems such as ERP platforms, SharePoint, and SQL databases and move data reliably.
  • Map the workflows being automated, identify the steps worth changing, and measure results in time, accuracy, and effort.
  • Work directly with the people who will use what you build, train them, and refine the work based on their feedback.
  • Deliver AI training to end users at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, and build the documentation and materials that support it.
  • Document what you build so it can be supported and extended by others.

Qualifications

Required

  • Two or more years building integrations, automations, or internal tools in a business environment.
  • Working proficiency in Python or PowerShell, comfort reading API documentation, and enough SQL to pull and shape data.
  • Experience taking a process end to end, from mapping how the work happens today to a running solution used independently by others.
  • Patience and effectiveness working with non-technical users.
  • Able to work on-site in Austintown and travel to client sites in the region, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Strongly preferred

  • Exposure to manufacturing operations, ERP systems, or job-shop workflows.
  • Process improvement or continuous improvement experience.
  • Hands-on work with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or Claude in a business setting.
  • Practical use of AI assistants such as Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT, with demonstrated interest in moving from user to builder.
  • IT, systems, or helpdesk background.
