Accountant – Construction & Contracting Company

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our Construction & Contracting team. The ideal candidate must have solid accounting experience within the UAE construction industry and possess strong knowledge of project accounting, financial reporting, and UAE tax regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in construction, contracting, or building companies within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations.
• Experience in project accounting, job costing, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate accounting entries and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
• Handle project payment certificates, progress billings, and retention accounting.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns in compliance with Federal Tax Authority regulations.
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial analysis to management.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.
