7th grade Test Prep Tutor (In-Home/Part-time)

We have a need for a Tutor to work with a 7th grade student. She will be taking an exam in August that she needs to pass to be promoted to the 8th grade.

The primary goal is to demonstrate Mastery of the AKS standards. In GCPS, "mastery" usually means earning a grade of at least 70 percent in the core subjects, specifically Language Arts and Mathematics.

Format: The assessment typically includes a mix of formative and summative elements, such as multiple-choice questions and extended response questions. It is a cumulative exam that measures knowledge across the state and district standards.

Resources for Preparation: The district provides AKS Study Guides and practice platforms like the "Experience Online Testing Georgia" site, which allows students to practice with general items organized by grade and content area

Tutoring takes place at the student's home located in Lilburn-(30047).

• Job Type: Part-time (Independent Contractor)
• Pay: $35.00/hour
• Location: In-person tutoring in Lilburn, GA 30047
• Schedule: 2 sessions per week for 1 hours each session
• Direct Deposit pay, twice per month via our online reporting system

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Driver's License
• Preference is given to Gwinnett County Teachers
